Duties of the Clerk:

  • Plan, organize and oversee elections in the township.
  • Maintain election files, records and voter information.
  • Process absentee applications and ballots.
  • Maintains custody of all township records.
  • Records, maintains, and posts board minutes and notices.
  • Keeps township ordinance books and records.
  • Maintains general ledger.
  • Accounts payable for the township.
  • Administers payroll, and all human resources for the township.
  • Notary public for the township.

Elections

The Clerk’s office will be open the Saturday before an election from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for absent voting only.

Permanent Absentee Voter Applications will be mailed approximately 45 days before an election.  If you would like to receive a Absentee Voter Application, please contact the Clerk’s office.

Workers Wanted: 

The Clerk’s office is looking for Precinct Inspectors. A precinct inspector must be a registered voter of the State. They cannot be a challenger, candidate, member of a candidate’s immediate family, or a member of the local Board of Canvassers. Anyone convicted of a felony or an election crime may not serve.

Training date for the election will be necessary also. Please contact the Clerk’s office for more details.
